Duas da Leo Records a caminho
Wally Shoup Trio, Blue Purge
A ouvir vamos.
The Wally Shoup Trio follows up its critically acclaimed Leo debut "Fusillades & Lamentations" with another batch of improvisations described as "Fire Music with a lot of Soul". Shoup's alto sax, Reuben Radding's bass and Bob Rees's drums spontaneously combust to create intense music that revels in its hard-boiled elegance. As the title suggests, the Wally Shoup Trio explodes in a soulful exorcism. Another original Shoup painting graces the cover.
Frank Gratkowski Project, Loft Exile V
On the occasion of the 40th birthday of Frank Gratkowski in 2003, the Moers Jazz Festival and The Loft Koeln put together The Loft Exile V project in which Frank Gratkowski could realise his ideas. For this project Frank invited a dream line-up: Herb Robertson on trumpet, Wolter Wierbos on trombone, Dieter Manderscheid and Wilbert DeJoode on basses, Gerry Hemingway and Michael Vatcher on drums, and Tobias Delius and himself on saxophones. The result is 138 minutes of music to be heard to be believed.
