Na Stadtgruen, netlabel alemã de música electónica, saiu há dias Green Planet, disco virtual do artista germânico Gate Zero (aka Stefan Bierdman, n. 1980). Seguindo a dualidade cultura (stadt) / natureza (gruen), espírito e corpo, que a editora cultiva desde 2004, quando se estreou com um disco belíssimo de Lomov (Free Port), a reflexão musical de Stefan Bierdman, embora alojada no lado “natureza”, aproxima aqueles dois mundos de um modo complementar, através de sons nocturnos e beats electrónicos esparsos provenientes da floresta urbana primordial.
Gate Zero surprises with a smooth and calm release which convinces by its balance between natural and electronic sounds, almost romantic harmonies and weird insertions. Major and minor at the same time, floating into each other on the same level, and merging beyond rightness. While listening we drift into a state of self-absorption and we can see clearly our path in this green world: We have to slow down to give all creatures and things their own place and time. Then, everything will have its inner truth beyond the antipodes.
