Clara Salina, a propósito do comentário que aqui deixei há dias sobre Billy Cobham e Spectrum, conta o seguinte:
1973 – 2005: After 32 years a new Spectrum album will be recorded.
"That smoking-cannon Billy Cobham debut, with fast 'n' fierce fusion compositions played by a band featuring along with Billy on drum, Tommy Bolin at guitar; Jan Hammer on electric piano, moog, piano; Lee Sklar, bass and the guests: Joe Farrell, flute, saxophones; Jimmy Owens, flugelhorn, trumpet; John Tropea, guitar; Ron Carter, acoustic bass; Ray Barretto, congas, now we know: a piece of history, change completely the Billy carrier featuring him self among the greatest musicians in the world.
The album was re-mastered and released along with a DVD on 2002.
The band will be not the same but what to say about this new Spectrum band, who is going to give to Billy’s fans something that has the potentiality to become not only another master piece? Who knows!
After 32 years of tours, composing and deep life experiences - as Cobham always says to be lucky to have lived – and, last but not least, at the third tour with the new Spectrum band, Billy will record this new album live on tour with Tom Coster on keyboard, Frank Gambale at guitar and Alphonso Johnson on bass.
At the moment we can say the tour will touch most of the European countries. Fans enjoy it!"
